Overview
Big Cypress Golf & Country Club serves Cypress Lakes, a gated community for residents 55 and older on US Highway 98 north of Lakeland. The Blair Group built its 1,604 single-family homes between 1987 and 2016, and all sales are now resales.
Two 18-hole courses run through the community: the South Course, designed by Ron Garl, and the North Course. Golf needs a separate membership on top of HOA dues, and members get preferred tee times.
The 30,000 sq ft Big Cypress Club clubhouse is the social hub, with a fitness centre and library, alongside a resort-style pool, a lap pool, tennis, pickleball, bocce and shuffleboard.

Membership
Golf requires a membership beyond the standard HOA; members hold preferred tee times, with limited outside play.
