Overview
Sawgrass Country Club is a private, member-owned club on the coast at Ponte Vedra Beach. It is known as the first home of The Players Championship, which was played there from 1977 to 1981 before moving to the nearby TPC Sawgrass.
The club has 27 holes of golf originally designed by Ed Seay of Arnold Palmer's design firm, with later renovation work by Robert Walker and Arnold Palmer Design Company.
Members also have tennis, fitness facilities, pools, beach access, several dining venues and family programming.
