Overview

Waterlefe Golf & River Club is a gated golf and boating community on the Manatee River in north Bradenton. A real-estate guide counts about 621 homes, ranging from condos and villas to single-family and waterfront estate homes.

The 18-hole Ted McAnlis course opened in 2000, and five of its holes run along the river. Golf is offered on a pay-as-you-play or annual-pass basis, and owning a home does not require a membership.

Residents have a fitness center, a saltwater lap pool, a riverside dining venue and a marina with about 59 slips.
