Overview
Rio Pinar Country Club is a golf club in the Rio Pinar neighborhood of east Orlando. The course opened in 1957 to a design by Mark Mahannah, with narrow fairways lined by pine and oak.
The club has a notable tournament past: it hosted the PGA Tour's Florida Citrus Open from 1966 to 1978, the event that later became the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and the LPGA's Lady Citrus Open from 1979 to 1982. Plaques near the pro shop commemorate past winners.
Lloyd Clifton redesigned the course in 1995. Rio Pinar operated as a private club until 2013, when Integrity Golf bought it and opened it to outside play; it is now semi-private.
