Overview

Tequesta Country Club is a private, member-owned golf club in the Village of Tequesta. The club and course sit on a peninsula bordered on three sides by the north and northwest forks of the Loxahatchee River.

Land developer Charles Martyn founded the club. Building started in 1955, and the Dick Wilson course opened on December 12, 1957, with an exhibition match that included Arnold Palmer and Dow Finsterwald. Finsterwald was the first head professional and won the 1958 PGA Championship while representing the club. His successor, Ed Ficker, held the job for 41 years.

Tom Fazio II restored and renovated the par-71 course in 2013. The club also offers pickleball, dining and a social calendar.
