Overview
Ocala National is the golf course of Golden Hills Country Club, about nine miles west of downtown Ocala amid horse-farm country. It opened in 1964 and describes itself as Marion County's first private country club; the course was redesigned by Rees Jones in 2003.
Today it operates as a semi-private club, selling memberships while also taking public tee times. A colonial-style clubhouse hosts dining and events.
